Chatbot Analytics: What to Track in the First 30 Days
By Brainfy AI Team
Launching a chatbot is the start, not the end. The handful of measures to watch in the first 30 days, and what to do with what you find.
Chatbot Analytics: What to Track in the First 30 Days
The first month after launch tells you what the chatbot is good at and where it needs work. Track a few measures weekly rather than dozens.
Last reviewed: November 2026.
The measures
- Conversations started. How many visitors use it, and on which pages.
- Unanswered or wrong answers. The most useful number. Each one is a content gap to fix.
- Leads captured. Contact details collected and sent to your CRM.
- Bookings made. Appointments booked through the chat.
- Handoffs. How often it passed a conversation to a person, and why.
- Drop-offs. Where people abandon the conversation.
- Feedback. A simple thumbs up or down at the end, if your tool supports it.
What to do with it
- Many unanswered questions: add or rewrite knowledge-base entries.
- Many handoffs on one topic: either add an approved answer or accept that the topic belongs with a person.
- Low use: check the chat is visible on key pages and the opening message invites a real question.
- Leads but no bookings: make booking a clear option in the conversation.
Read transcripts
Numbers point to problems; transcripts explain them. Read a sample each week.
