Follow-Up Sequences for Quote Requests That Win More Jobs
By Brainfy AI Team
Many quotes are lost simply because nobody followed up. A simple, polite follow-up sequence after you send a quote, and when to stop.
Follow-Up Sequences for Quote Requests That Win More Jobs
Customers often request several quotes and decide later. The business that follows up politely is the one still in the conversation. Automation makes sure every quote gets followed up, even in busy weeks.

A simple sequence
- When the quote is sent: a short note confirming what is included, the validity date and how to accept or ask questions.
- Two or three days later: "Any questions about the quote?" with a link to book a short call.
- About a week later: answer a common question or concern, such as timing, warranty or payment options.
- Shortly before the quote expires: a reminder of the expiry date.
- Then stop, and mark the quote as lost or dormant in your CRM.
Keep it human
Write as you would speak, sign with a real name and make it easy to reply. Stop the sequence as soon as the customer replies, accepts or declines.
Learn from the answers
When customers decline, ask briefly why. Price, timing and scope answers tell you what to change.
Consent
Following up on a quote the customer requested is generally treated differently from marketing, but keep it relevant and stop when asked. Check Canada's anti-spam rules with your adviser for anything promotional.
